Description

"Some girls attempt to flee to the greenwood forests of the north. In such forests, in certain territories, there roam bands of free women, the lithe, ferocious Panther Girls of Gor, but these despise and hate women not of their own fierce ilk; in particular do they revile and hold in contempt girls, beauties, who have been slaves to men; should such a girl, fleeing enter the cool vastness of their green domain, she is commonly hunted down like a tabuk doe and cruelly captured; the forests are not for such as she; she is tethered and bound, and often lashed, then driven by switches helplessly to the shores of Thassa or the banks of the Laurius, and then sold back to men, usually for weapons or candy." -Slave Girl of Gor

***INFORMATION ON THE BOW... since I know it is inevitable***
1: It is the 'Scythian' composite recurve which I got from KultOfAthena.com
2: The bow is weighted at 50# @ 28"
3: Yes, I do use it for more than photoshoots. I hunt with it as well as just kill time at the range with it.
4: Unfortunately due to the locale (DragonCon '13) in a crowded hotel, I could not draw fully. Due to the fact it is a photo and we didn't want 'floating arm' or 'invisible arm' syndrome, my arm is chickenwinged a bit as I'm turned all awkward for the photo.
5: I do, however, shoot crouching/kneeling on a regular basis.

I love your work, Myrlena, I don't know how I missed this one - although I'm a forest girl, I'm not keeping my eye on the target!

I identify with so much that you say. I really can call myself a 'forest girl', I live in a Forest Park in Scotland and love it, but, like you, I'm more of a slavegirl than an Amazon. The idea of being hunted thrills this girl, fleeing (barefoot, of course) through my Forest like a tabuk doe. I'd give them a good chase, but in the end I'd be 'cruelly captured... tethered and bound... lashed, then driven by switches' to be sold to Men - grrrr!
